The x-gram corpora statistics:

812,576,024 8-grams put in hash + b-tree structure 128,842,779KB in size
The only bottleneck is drive's IOPS i.e. the latency, the SSDs should deliver many thousands.
It means that 20 phrases per second is the lowest rate (on HDDs) due to 5x10milliseconds find-time for each x-gram.
Superior performance like this requires:
720,042KB + 10,746,363KB + 87,861,963KB + 128,842,779KB = 228,171,147KB = 218GB external memory.
